National House Project
Manchester and Trafford House Project is a Local House Project (LHP). All LHP's are members of the National House Project. House Projects support young people leaving care to create their own homes and live connected and fulfilling lives.
House Projects are co-designed with young people. They work together to develop relationships and learn skills that enable them to live successful adult lives. They have a choice in where they live and are involved in getting their property ready to become their home. Manchester House Project is represented by young people at the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM) to ensure that a young person’s voice is at the heart of all decision making. They are joined by representatives from all other LHPs.

House Projects in Scotland event - March 2024
We were delighted to be joined by Natalie Don, The Minister for Children, Young People and Keeping the Promise, Fraser McKinlay, CEO of The Promise Scotland and Heather Coady, an Independent Consultant, who share a passion and commitment to changing the system for people in, and leaving, care in Scotland. Not only did they address the conference but they got to hear from Local House Project staff and young people on how they are working together to improve the way in which young people leave care and how this meets the commitments made in The Promise in 2020.

Visit to Cohort 3!
Went to visit the young people this week from our previous cohort in their new homes now they are a bit more settled and have mostly everything they need.
