Project Leads manage the project, staff and build relationships with partners

Rachelann has been working within the youth sector for the past 17 years and has an extensive range of experience in youth work ranging across a wide variety of the youth sector, which has enabled her to obtain a genuine enthusiasm and passion for working with young people from multi-cultural and challenging backgrounds between the ages of 8 – 21 years old and up to 25 with any additional needs with the aim of building and maintaining sustainable relationships. 

Rachelann has a Masters and Post Graduate Diploma in Youth and Community Work which was obtained in 2012 / 2013 and has had over 6 years of management experience working as a Senior Co-ordinator and Alternative Provision Manager at Mahdlo Youth Zone in Oldham.  

Rachelann wants to be a part of developing the partnership between Manchester and Trafford House Project and providing opportunities for care leavers to be able to make a house into a home and support them to achieve their life goals.

In a landmark event to mark the 10th anniversary of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, Who Cares? Scotland hosted its first ever Corporate Parenting Awards, celebrating achievements of organisations dedicated to supporting Care Experienced young people. The event in Glasgow recognised outstanding contributions across several categories, with East Dunbartonshire and Midlothian House Projects winning awards in three areas.
