MCR House Project Carpet Cleaning Group Session!

MCR House Project Carpet Cleaning Group Session!

Posted 11th February 2022

This week's Group Session was a really competitive affair!

We divided the young people into two teams, using some carpet samples, and stained each carpet sample with some common stains that you would encounter in your own home (tomato ketchup, gravy, mascara, foundation, nail polish, and cola). We then gave the young people £5 for a budget to go to different shops with to buy cleaning supplies to combat the stains.

Team 1 won the competition, as we found that Tesco's Oxycleaner (bought by Team 1) was incredibly effective at cleaning most of the stains, even after they had been left for a few hours to dry!
