Manchester House Project: Cohort 1 and 2 Residential

The Manchester House Project completed their House Project Independence Programme – ‘The Residential’.
Staff and young people attended Ghyll head outdoor centre where they took part in outdoor activities such as canoeing/kayaking, Ghyll scrambling, zip wire and more. Our young people planned every aspect of the trip, from budgeting, location, food, activities, transport and much more! Our young people had a great time and bonded as a team throughout the trip, some of them meeting for the first time, and we all finished off with karaoke on the minibus home!
This residential trip was a key aspect of not only the House Project Programme but our young people's lives, creating memories to last a lifetime and boosting their sense of community by helping to build bonds and strengthen connections between the groups, whilst all embarking on a fun activity-filled few days.

Earlier this year, Eoin Stein took on the incredible challenge of running the Chester Marathon, and in doing so, raised over £1,000 for the National House Project (NHP)! We were absolutely thrilled when his employer, Toyota, generously match-funded his efforts with an additional £1,000, bringing the total raised to £2,000.
