The Manchester and Trafford House Project Graduation 2022
Posted 20th December 2022
Wow! What a spectacular day - The Manchester and Trafford House Project Graduation event took place this week and it was a heart-warming event to say the least. Celebrating the excellent achievements that our young people have attained during their House Project journey was incredible and there was a buzz in the air as we celebrated with our young people from cohorts 1, 2 and 3! We were joined by professionals who we are ever so grateful to for attending and sharing our young people's special day, from Trafford, the National House Project and the whole Manchester and Trafford House Project team alongside Jane, our wonderful Greater Manchester Co-ordinator!
We ensured it was a day to remember with lots of amazing decorations and accessories for our young people to immerse themselves in celebrating their graduation and achievements whilst recognising their hard work, dedication, ownership and commitment have gone a long way to where they are now. There was also a delicious spread of food to go around - we received lots of positive feedback on the yummy pizzas as it was enjoyed by many!
There were plenty of snacks for all to indulge in!
The Graduation event featured a special performance from our very own Mya who has a passion for music. Mya performed her very own rap exceptionally well, which gave us all goosebumps as her rap was very touching. Mya is an outstanding young person who will definitely go very far within the music industry, and we are honoured to have been Mya's audience as she shared her special talent with us! Well done Mya and keep up the hard work :)
The graduation was filled with joy as we met our young people and even their children too, sharing stories, conversations, happy memories and supporting throughout the day - the community spirit could not be missed!
We are looking forward to the many graduation events to come, including our current cohort 3 and the upcoming cohorts as we continue to support young people who are care experienced in Manchester and Trafford! We would like to thank everyone for their continued support as ever, it is very much appreciated.
